How to create a crew on GTA Online

Preliminary information

Before going into the details of the procedure on how to create a crew on GTA Online , I think it may interest you to know more about this possibility and what its limits are.

GTA Online Crews, aka GTA 5’s multiplayer mode, allow players to come together in a kind of clan. The latter allows users to find each other more easily and therefore be able to play together more easily. Crews are often used by users to find other people who speak the same language, have the same level in the game, or have other characteristics in common. Crew members can also access exclusive benefits (custom colors, vehicle decals, and more) and RP bonuses (reputation points) . In short, being part of a crew pays off.

How to create a crew on GTA 5

After explaining the main possibilities offered by the GTA Online crews, I would say that you are ready to create your own clan. The only way to do this is to use the dedicated portal.

To continue, then connect to the official website of the Social Club and log in with your Rockstar account (you can also log in with the PlayStation and Xbox profiles , by pressing on the relative icons). In case you do not have a Social Club account, click on the Register button , enter your date of birth and select the Next button .

Then, check the box linked to the acceptance of the EULA , click on Next and complete the email , password , nickname and country fields . At this point, click on the Next button and set your sharing preferences: in the Profile and Information page , you can set the Visibility of the profile to Everyone , Friends , Friends and Crew or Just me . You can also check Show my friends and Show your country. At this point, you will be prompted to select the Feed visibility settings , choosing from Everyone , Friends , Friends and Crew or Just me .

Once you have successfully logged into the Rockstar Social Club, click on the CREW item at the top and select the  Create Crew item from the menu that opens. Now, fill in the fields Name of your crew , tag , motto , ranks and actions and select the type of crew from the drop-down menu in the top right. After making all the necessary changes, click on the Save This Crew button and then on the Yes item , to complete the process of creating the group.

I remind you that your Crew must abide by the Rockstar Games Code of Conduct and that, if you are playing, you will need to restart GTA Online in order to use the Clan features you just created.

How to invite friends to the crew

Among the possibilities offered by the GTA crews there is, of course, that of inviting friends to join their group.

To do this from a common browser for online browsing , after connecting to the official website of the Rockstar Social Club and logging in to your account, press the CREW item at the top and select the icon of the crew you want to invite your friends. Now, press the Invite button located at the top right and then the Invite button next to the nickname of the friend you want to invite.

If you want to perform this directly from the game, however access to the settings of GTA Online (press, for example, the button Options on PS4) and select the tab ONLINE . Then, click on the Crew and My Crews items , check the box for the clan you want to activate and select Set active crew . The game may restart to make this change and you may then be kicked out of the current session.

After making the crew active, you can invite other users to it by going to the FRIENDS tab of the game settings, selecting the name of the friend to invite and pressing the I nvita item in [tag crew] . You can have up to 100 pending invitations, after which the oldest invitation will be automatically deleted.

In case you want to find yourself in the game with the other members of the group, just go to the ONLINE tab of the GTA settings and select the item Join crew members . Perfect, now your group has been created and configured correctly!

In case of problems

How do you say? During the process of creating or managing your crew, did you encounter a problem that you have not found an answer to? Don’t worry, the Rockstar Games support site exists for this very reason! The service allows, in fact, to find automatic answers to the most common problems and to open a ticket to receive support directly from the developer’s support team.

To find the answers to the most common questions, type “Create GTA Online Crew” in the search bar at the top and press on the magnifying glass icon . If, on the other hand, you want to contact Rockstar Games directly, press the ☰ button located at the top left and select the item Submit a ticket from the menu that opens.

At this point, press box Social Club and select the icon unlisted . Then, log in to your account (in case you have not already done so) and write, in the dedicated space, a brief description of your problem.

Perfect: now all you have to do is press the black button with the envelope icon to send your request to the Rockstar Games experts. The company states that you should receive a response within 24 hours but, of course, the timing may vary from the amount of requests received by the support service.
