Preliminary information

Before explaining how to see previous names on Instagram, I have to give you some useful preliminary information about it.

In fact, you must know that on Instagram it is possible to trace the information relating to the username previously set for your account, but also to know the previous changes made regarding your name and surname set within the photographic social network.

Furthermore, these are easy to carry out operations, which can be performed through the Instagram app for Android (downloadable from the Play Store or from alternative stores ) and for iOS (downloadable from the App Store ). Furthermore, as I will explain to you in the next chapters of this guide, it is also possible to do it from a PC, by connecting to the official Instagram website or using its application for Windows 10.

Having made the necessary premises above, let’s see together how to view the history of username and name and surname on Instagram. It’s all very simple.

From smartphones and tablets

If you want to act from the Instagram app for smartphones or tablets, start the latter by pressing on its icon on the home screen and/or in the drawer of your device, then log in to your account, if necessary.

At this point, press on the thumbnail of your profile located in the bottom menu and then press on the menu icon located in the upper right corner. Now, in the menu that is shown to you, tap on the Settings item and reach the Security> Login data section.

Once this is done, you just have to press on the wording View all, in correspondence with the previous user names item, to see the changes previously made to your username, and then also in correspondence with the previous names and surname item, in order to know the information previously set by you in relation to your name and surname on Instagram. Easy, right?

From PC

To succeed in seeing the previous names on Instagram from a PC, you can choose to act through the official website of the social network or using its application for Windows 10: the procedures to be implemented are the same.

Therefore, to get started, connect to the official Instagram website or launch the social network application for Windows 10 , in order to log in to your account (if necessary).

Then, click on your profile thumbnail located in the upper right corner and, in the menu that is shown to you, click on the Settings item. Now, click on the Privacy and security item located in the left side menu, then click on the Graphic organizer wording, corresponding to the Account data section.

At this point, refer to the words Previous usernames and Previous names and surnames and click on the items View all, corresponding to them, in order to see the changes previously made to the username and first and last name on Instagram. You didn’t think it would be that easy, did you?
