No space on Iphone? No problem – we delete unnecessary files
I have prepared a small guide that will show you how to deal with low iPhone memory. These few simple steps will help you free up valuable space.
Today, our smartphones are replacing cameras, calendars, game consoles, music players, DVDs and many other devices. This requires a large enough storage space for the user.
How to get rid of unnecessary, while freeing up gigabytes of space? We’ll see.
How to clear iPhone memory?
In the case of Android, everything is relatively simple. The useful and in most cases effective tools offered by the manufacturers do an excellent job of this. If the result is not entirely satisfactory to us, we can choose an application from another developer, often much more effective. The last option is to manually delete the files in File Explorer. Unfortunately, things are not so simple with iOS.
Apple’s mobile platform has its own rules, not necessarily logical, so deleting unnecessary files from a device is not a trivial process. However, I would be lying if I wrote that this is not possible. It is enough to complete a few steps, preferably in the order I indicated.
Step one – use a system tool
I know this doesn’t sound very telling, but for many users, this tip works great. So go into Settings, where under General you will find iPhone Storage. On this tab, you can manage the disk. The system itself will tell you what actions can bring the desired effect.
In my case, iOS offered to free up space in the Recently Deleted album and remove unused apps. It’s actually only 137 MB, since I cleared 2 gigabytes there a week ago. For some, this so-called “basket” also takes a lot, check.
If you do not find such an item, then go to the standard “photo” application, there go to the albums and at the very bottom there will be this basket.
Step two – application data
In the same section of settings, at the very bottom there is a list of applications installed on the device. After entering the sorted results, we can check how much space is being used by the data of a particular application. Some of them allow you to delete files directly from the program – for example, telegrams. Most of the approaches do not offer the possibilities mentioned, but it can be dealt with. You will have to completely uninstall the application and reinstall it.
This works great, for example, in the case of Instagram, which can store several gigabytes.
Step three is the last resort
If your iPhone has a modest amount of memory – 32 or even 16 GB, the procedures described above may not be enough, and it will take a long time. What then?
This is where Apple itself comes to the rescue. First, you need to create a backup via iTunes or iCloud, which will allow you to save and then restore our apps and settings.
We go to the General – Reset section , from which we select the Erase content and settings option . Next, you will be prompted to create a backup copy, we agree, if you did not.
After completing the factory restore process, all you need to do is sign in to your Apple account, after which the system will automatically download the necessary applications from the backup. Naturally, it will ignore the “crap” left by the applications.
Simple methods are often the most effective. Try it)
