How to save a Google presentation in the browser
As you may already know, documents created using the suite of office services offered by Google are automatically saved in the cloud space of the Google Drive service: in this way, projects are always available from any browser, as long as there is an Internet connection.
Now, however, you are working hard on some slides and you would need to continue your task even later, outside the office, where you probably won’t have a stable connection to the Internet and, therefore, you are afraid of not being able to work.
If, therefore, you are wondering how to save a Google presentation in the browser to be able to work even offline, you should know that a solution has also been provided for this type of need: just take advantage of a specific function available in the Chrome browser.
How do you say? Don’t have this browser and don’t know how to proceed? Do not worry, I have also thought of this, creating a dedicated guide in which you will find all the instructions on downloading and installing Chrome. It is a free software and particularly simple and intuitive to use, but if you want more information on how it works, here you can find everything you need.
To proceed with the activation of the offline mode, you must first download a special official extension from the Chrome Web Store: just press the Add button, then confirming the intention in the next window, using the Add extension button. In no time at all, Google Drive’s offline document access feature will be ready to use.
To complete the operation and make all documents created with the Google suite offline, you will then have to connect to the main page of Google Drive and press the Go to Drive button: on the next page you will be prompted to authenticate by choosing your Google account and, afterwards, you will have to enter the relative password and click on the Next button to complete the recognition.
Now that you have landed on the main page of the services press the button with the gear symbol (top right) and click on the Settings item. On the next screen, check the box next to the Offline option and press the Finish button, at the top right, to register the change.
Alternatively, if you want to apply offline mode only to presentations, you will need to access the Google Slides service from Chrome and press the File menu > Make available offline, at the top. The activation of the function will be confirmed by a specific message that will appear at the bottom left.
How to save a Google presentation in PowerPoint
You have completed your Google presentation: you are particularly proud of your work, but you have just learned that one of the colleagues you will be sharing with does not have a Google account and uses the PowerPoint program of the Microsoft Office suite.
Do not worry, the operation is absolutely feasible and it is not at all difficult to understand how to save a Google presentation in PowerPoint: in fact, you just need to access the document in question from your favorite browser and go to the File> Download> Microsoft PowerPoint (. pptx) (top left). The system will immediately download a copy in .pptx format to the default download folder.
How to save a Google presentation to PDF
Are you looking for instructions on how to save a Google presentation to PDF? In this case you will be happy to learn that there are two ways to do this simple operation.
The first, the simplest, can be done simply by going to the File> Download> PDF Document (.pdf) menu from the Google Presentations interface: in a similar way to what is illustrated in the previous chapter dedicated to export to PPTX, it will be downloaded a copy on your PC, this time in PDF format.
Alternatively, you can press the Print button (the one with a printer symbol located at the top right), wait for the preview to be generated and click on the drop-down menu corresponding to the Destination item, then choosing the Save as PDF option and pressing the Save button at the bottom.
In this case a new window will be opened, through which you can choose the destination folder of the document, possibly changing its name, in the appropriate field. Finally, press the Save button again to complete the operation.

How to save a Google presentation to desktop
How do you say? Would you love to figure out how to save a Google presentation to your computer desktop, so you can easily access the documents you need to work on with a single click?
No problem! The operation, as you will see shortly, is easily done in a few steps. If you have a Windows PC, first you will need to connect to your Drive space, as already seen in a previous chapter. Next, locate the document of your interest and right-click on it, then, from the context menu, click on the Get Link option.
In the window that will be proposed to you, click on the Copy Link button, then go to your desktop and right-click on an empty area, clicking on the item New> Link. In the new screen that appears, right-click again within the text field present and select the Paste option, then press the Next button. In the next step apply a name to the link and press the Finish button.
Another equally simple method, also valid for computers with macOS operating system, is to select the Weblink of the document in question on the address bar of your browser and drag the element to the desktop with the mouse: this operation will involve the creation in automatic connection. How to save a Google presentation in app
When you often move from one place to another, it is not uncommon to come across absences of connection that can create many problems for the peaceful continuation of one’s work.
Thanks to the Google Slides app available for Android and iOS / iPadOS, fortunately, you will have nothing to worry about: even in this case (as already seen in the desktop version of the service) it is possible to activate the offline mode easily, which will allow you to do not be dependent on the availability of an Internet connection to continue editing the slides.
After starting the app in question, I simply have to tap on the three dots symbol, located at the top right, and press the button next to the item Available offline, in order to activate the mode in question, which will allow you to save the changes locally and synchronize them again as soon as you have a valid network connection.
How to save a Google presentation in PowerPoint
Have you just finished creating a new presentation from your smartphone or tablet using the Google Presentations app, but have you been asked to export it in PPTX format to be able to open it also with the relative application of the Microsoft Office suite? Fear not, even on mobile it is absolutely not difficult to realize how to save a Google presentation in PowerPoint.
After starting the Google Presentations app and opening the project you need to convert, you simply need to press the three dots symbol, at the top right, and tap the Share and export option. Then click on the Save as item and finally select the PowerPoint (.pptx) option from the list of possible formats.
If you have an iOS / iPadOS device, however, you will find the Save as PowerPoint option directly in the Share and export menu. To complete the operation, in all cases you will have to touch the OK button: the document will be simultaneously converted into the desired format and saved in your Drive space (you can then export it to other apps using the sharing menu).
How to save a Google presentation to PDF
In the previous chapter of I showed the various steps for exporting slides in PPTX format: if you have an Android device and want to understand how to save a Google presentation in PDF, all you have to do is repeat the same procedure, this time choosing the format in question.
After opening the project to convert, then, press on the symbol of the three dots arranged vertically, located at the top right and tap on the Share and export option. Then, click on the Save as item and select the PDF document (.pdf) option. Finally, press the OK button to confirm the operation: the document will be simultaneously opened in the format just indicated and saved in the Google Drive cloud.
As an alternative, if you have an Android smartphone or tablet, you can use the Print function, which is located right under the Save as item in the menu described above: in this case, in the next step, you will have to press on the Select printer functionality and click on the Save to PDF option.
At this point, all you have to do is press on the arrow symbol inside the circle, present at the top right and choose the name and location of the file in the following screen, pressing one last time on the Save button to confirm the operation.
If, on the other hand, you have an iOS / iPadOS device, I suggest you use the Send a copy function in the Share and export menu: you will be prompted to choose the format and you can click on the PDF item, confirming your intention via the OK button.
Then click on the Save to File function and choose the location in which to export the document, then click on the Save button, located at the top right, to finalize the procedure.
