How to print the vaccination certificate

You were able to complete the anti-COVID vaccination course and, to carry out a series of diagnostic tests in the days to come, you were required to present the certificate of vaccination. The problem is that you are no longer able to retrieve the paper document that was issued to you at the vaccination center and the idea of going personally to your ASL / ATS you belong to just does not go down well: for this reason, you would like to download the certified by the Internet and print it independently, but you just do not have the faintest idea how to do it.

Do not worry, it is much simpler than it seems and I have every intention of giving you a hand to succeed in the enterprise: in the following lines, in fact, I will explain to you in detail how to print the vaccination certificate., or rather, how to obtain the aforementioned document using the digital platforms made available by the Regions. Before proceeding, however, make sure that you actually need the vaccination certificate and not the green pass: the first, in fact, can only be used as a certification system in scenarios that require it (e.g. access to competitions, exams and internships selection requiring vaccination, updating of medical records and so on), but not as a guarantee of access for COVID-free events/facilities, nor as a pass for inter-regional or international travel.

In these last situations, in fact, the green pass / green certification is almost always required, i.e. the document issued directly by the Ministry of Health following the completion of the vaccination cycle/administration of the first dose, after the cure of the COVID-19 disease. or after carrying out a molecular or antigenic swab with negative result. In the following sections of this tutorial, mind you, I will explain how to obtain and print the vaccination certificate (and therefore NOT the green pass) issued by your Region, ASL or ATS of belonging. Happy reading and good luck!

Preliminary operations

Before getting to the heart of this guide and explaining, in practice, how to print the vaccination certificate, let me explain what are the preliminary operations to be carried out to succeed without problems in the undertaking you are about to face.

In general, you will only need a computer, a smartphone or a tablet from which to access the regional platform of your competence; however, it is absolutely essential that the printer is configured on the device of your choice.

As you can easily imagine, the steps to follow vary according to the printer in your possession, the connection system chosen and the platform used: for example, to print from the computer, you will have to use the printer installation disk or manually download the drivers. from the Internet, if the printer is connected by cable, or use the network configuration wizard or the official software provided by the manufacturer if it is a wireless printer or otherwise capable of accessing the LAN or Internet services.

To print from your mobile phone, on the other hand, you will almost always have to download the app or plugin dedicated to printing services directly from the store of your device and, after turning on the printer, use the dedicated application to configure it.

In any case, if you need clarification on the procedures to follow, you can refer to my guides on how to connect a printer to the computer and how to connect the phone to the printer, in which I have given you clear instructions on what to do.

How to print the COVID vaccination certificate

As already mentioned in the introductory remarks of this guide, the COVID vaccination certificate is a sort of certificate concerning the successful administration of the vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 virus; the document is generally issued, in paper form, following the taking of the drug; however, a copy of the vaccination certificate can also be requested through the online platform of one’s own Region, in digital format, or from the competent ASL / ATS.

The procedure, as it is easy to imagine, varies from Region to Region and from Platform to Platform: in general, you must enter your Electronic Health Record, accessing the telematic platform through SPID identity, TS-CNS active for digital services o CIE / Electronic Identity Card and download a copy of the certificate from there. Some Regions have proprietary platforms exclusively dedicated to COVID-19, from which it is possible to obtain all the necessary documentation.

For example, to print the COVID vaccination certificate in the Lazio region, you must first obtain the document by connecting to the website of the Regional Registry and entering, when requested, your access credentials (which can be requested by clicking on the entry dedicated to New registration, located lower left).

To print the Lombardy COVID vaccination certificate, however, it is necessary to take the document from your Electronic Health Record, which can be accessed with SPID, CIE / TS-CNS and smart card reader, or using the OTP system of the Lombardy Region, in combined with the health card.

If you need to print the Tuscany vaccination certificate, you must access the service for viewing and printing the vaccination record, available on the regional portal dedicated to the Electronic Health Record, which can be accessed via SPID, or with CIE / TS-CNS and reader of smart card.

To print the Piedmont vaccination certificate, you must obtain the appropriate document from the Vaccinations area of the Health Piedmont portal, which can be accessed with SPID credentials.

If, on the other hand, you need to print the Puglia vaccination certificate, you must download the appropriate certificate from the online Vaccination Diary of your competent ASL (eg the Bari ASL ); to obtain and print the Veneto vaccination certificate, you must instead use the regional Sanitàkmzero portal, which can be accessed with SPID, CIE or dedicated credentials: the latter must already be active, as it is not possible to create new ones. The existing access data are valid until 30 September 2021: after this date, the credentials will be unusable.

In short, as you can see yourself, the steps to follow to obtain the vaccination certificate can be profoundly different from each other. To give you a concrete example, let me show you how to obtain the document in question if you are a resident of the Campania Region.

I tell you right away that, in this case, it is possible to print the vaccination certificate without SPID: the application to access the document, as well as via SPID identity with the second level of security active, also allows you to register and authenticate via Google account (on all platforms) or Apple ID (on iPhone and iPad only).

To start, download the SINFONIA e-Covid app, available for Android and iOS / iPadOS: to obtain it, open the reference store of your device, search for the name of the app using the appropriate function (or the links I have provided you with recently), press the button Install / Get and, if you are asked, end the security verification by logging via face recognitionfingerprint recognition and password account.

Once the app is open, make a few swipes to the left, in order to view the various information sheets, then tap the Proceed button and choose the authentication/registration mode you prefer, by pressing the appropriate button: Sign in with GoogleSign in with Apple or Enter with SPID.

For the first two access modes, you will need to enter the credentials of the Google / Apple profile to use; for simplicity, you can also choose to match the one already in use on the device, simply by tapping on your e-mail address and then on the button to accept the terms of use of the platform.

Now, if this is the first time you register on the portal, you must complete your profile by specifying the required personal information ( namesurnamesocial security numbertelephone number and residence ) and indicating whether or not you have been exposed to suspected or ascertained COVID cases. .

Once this step has been passed, he gives his consent to privacy for the processing of data, completes the verification of the telephone number indicating the one-time password received via SMS and, finally, touches the Save button, in order to complete the update of the registry.

If everything went smoothly, you should now access the main screen of the app: at this point, tap the Certificates tab (depicting two overlapping sheets ), tap the Insert button visible in the Health Card box and enter the 20-digit identification number of the TS-CNS printed on the back of the document, which should start with 8038.

Finally, tap the Save button and that’s it: after a few moments, the system will check for the presence of COVID certificates concerning your person and accredited by the Region, such as the results of the antigenic swabs, molecular swabs and vaccination certificates.

To print the document certifying the vaccination, tap the View resident button inside the Vaccination certificates box and tap the box containing the one you are interested in ( 1st dose or 2nd dose ), to view the receipt.

If, on the other hand, you have a SPID identity, the configuration of the SINFONIA e-Covid app is much simpler: once you reach the login screen, tap the Enter with SPID button twice consecutively, select the name of the certification body of your interest, enter the credentials of your digital identity in the appropriate fields and complete the authentication using the second access level (single-use code or authorization via app).

Finally, complete the login by tapping the I agree button, go to the Certificates tab and open the document relating to the successful administration of the vaccine, as I explained to you a little while ago.

Once the vaccination certificate has been opened, regardless of the platform used, you just have to print it in the way you prefer: if you have already turned on and configured the printer for use via your mobile / tablet, tap the Share button / Download and use the system sharing menu to select the Direct Print option, or the Print Services plugin installed on the device.

Finally, use the next screen to select the printer to use, the number of copies to print and the color mode of the document (black and white, grayscale or color) and tap the Print button, or the one depicting a printer, to emboss the document on paper. For more information on how to print a document from your mobile (or tablet), I refer you to reading my tutorial dedicated to the topic.

If, on the other hand, you prefer to act from the computer, call up the system sharing menu and auto-send the file via e-mail, instant messaging or any other application/platform also accessible from the computer.

Once this is done, switch to the latter device, open the received document using any PDF reader (e.g. Adobe Reader) and send it to print, using the File> Print menu of the program, the key combination Ctrl + P (Windows) or cmd + p (macOS) or by clicking on the printer symbol, generally located at the top right. If it is not clear to you how to print from the computer to the printer, you will certainly find useful the in-depth study I have made on the subject, full of valuable information on the subject.
