With this tutorial, in fact, I will explain how to play Roblox both alone and with your friends. First, it will be my job to show you the detailed procedure for creating your account and downloading the software needed to play Roblox from your computer. Next, I’ll also tell you how to use the Roblox app for smartphones and tablets, to play wherever you are. In addition, I will provide you with the necessary directions to add new friends on Roblox: essential procedure for playing together with the people you know.

How to play Roblox on PC

To play Roblox on your computer, all you need to do is connect to the game’s official website, create your account and then download the program needed to run the games hosted on Roblox.

You must know, however, that if you have a PC with Windows 10 , you can download the official Roblox application from the Microsoft Store and play your favorite titles without installing any additional software. If this is your case, connected to the page dedicated to the Roblox app , click on the Get button , wait for the application to download and press the Play button to start playing.

If you do not have a computer equipped with Windows 10, start the browser you usually use to surf the Internet (eg Chrome , Firefox or  Safari ), connect to the official Roblox website and fill out the registration form, entering your data in the Birthday fields (with your date of birth), Username and Password . Then specify your gender , click on the Sign up button and that’s it.

Now, choose any of the games available in the Recommended section , click on the ▶ ︎ button and, in the new screen displayed, click on Download and install Roblox , to start downloading Roblox on your computer.

When the download is complete, if you have a Windows PC , double-click on the RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe file to start installing the program, and wait for the progress bar to reach 100%. Then click on the OK button and that’s it.

If, on the other hand, you have a Mac , open the dmg package you just downloaded, double-click on the Roblox executable contained within it and click on the Open button , to confirm your intention to open an application downloaded from the Internet.

You are now ready to choose one of the over 15 million titles available on Roblox and start playing. To do this, connect again to the official Roblox website and click on the Games option located in the top menu, to view the complete list of available games.

In the new open page, choose the category of games you are interested in: Popular with the most famous titles;  Top rated with the games most voted by users; Feutered with a selection of games recommended by Roblox staff; Most Engaging with the most engaging titles of the moment; Simulator with simulation games; Adventure with adventure titles etc.

Once you’ve chosen your favorite game, click on its preview image to view its details, such as description , user ratings , related games, and more. To start the game, click the ▶ ︎ button and wait for Roblox to open on your computer.

To view the game settings and customize the keys associated with your character’s movements, click the ☰ button, top left, and choose the Settings option from the menu that opens. By pressing, instead, on the bubble icon , you can chat with other players.

How do you say? Is the game not to your liking? In this case, press the ☰ button and click on the Leave game item (or simply close the program), then go back to the Roblox website and choose a new title to play.

How to play Roblox on smartphones and tablets

To play Roblox on smartphones and tablets , go to your device’s store and download the Roblox app for Android  or  iOS / iPadOS . Once the download and installation are complete, start the app in question by tapping on its icon (a gray diamond on a black background ), press the Login item , enter your Roblox account data in the Username / Email / Tel and Password fields and tap the Login button to login.

If, on the other hand, you have not yet registered on Roblox, choose the Register option , enter the required data in the fields Date of birth , Username and Password , select one of the options available between Male and Female , to indicate your gender membership, and tap the Register button to create your account.

After logging into your account, press the circle icon visible in the menu located at the bottom, to access the Discover section with the list of games available on Roblox divided by category ( Popular , Adventure , Fighting , Simulator , Tycoon etc.).

Now, choose the game of your interest, tap on its preview image and press the ▶ ︎ button to start playing. Wait, then, for the chosen game to load, tap the ☰ button, at the top left, and choose the Settings option , to view the game controls and customize any settings relating to the game sounds and the quality of the graphics.

If you want to chat with other players during the game, press the speech bubble icon (top left), to view the chat messages, and tap the three dots icon , to enter a new message. If, on the other hand, you want to return to the main Roblox menu, press the ☰ button again, select the Players option , tap the Leave games button and confirm your intention by pressing the Leave item .

How to play Roblox on PS4

If you are wondering if it is possible to play Roblox on PS4 , I am sorry to tell you that the answer is no. In fact, at the time of writing this guide, the game is not available for the famous console produced by Sony.

Also, it is not possible to play Roblox even using the browser installed on the PS4. Starting the latter, accessing the official Roblox website with your account and starting any game, the message Your current platform is not supported is shown on the screen , indicating that Roblox is not available.

How to play Roblox with friends

Before explaining how to play Roblox with friends , you should know that you can play together with your acquaintances only if you have previously added the user of your interest among your friends in Roblox. Once this is done, you can join the same game your friends are playing or invite them to play the title of your choice.

In addition, it will be useful to know that it is possible to play together with your friends even from different devices. To understand better, let’s take a practical example: if you are playing Roblox from a computer and you invite a friend to join the game, the latter will be able to do so even if they are using the Roblox app for smartphones and tablets.

Having clarified this, connect to the official Roblox website (or start the app for Android  or  iOS / iPadOS ) and, if you have not already done so, log in to your account by pressing the Login button . Now, enter the username of the friend you intend to play with on Roblox in the Search field  and, from the menu that appears, click on Search [username] in Players .

In the new page opened, locate the user of your interest and click on the relative Add friend button , to add him to the list of your friends on Roblox. At this point, click on the ☰ button, at the top left, and choose the Friends option from the menu that appears, to view the complete list of your friends. Users who are currently playing on Roblox are identified by a green dot and, next to their name, the title of the game they are playing is visible .

To start playing with your friend, click on his name , in order to access his profile on Roblox and, in the new open page, click on the Join Game button . Automatically, the game in question will start and you will be able to play together.

Alternatively, you can start any game yourself and then invite your friends to play with you. To do this, choose the game you prefer in the Games section of Roblox and click on the ▶ ︎ button, to start it. Then press the ☰ button, choose the Invite friend to play option  from the menu that opens and click the Invite button related to the online friends you want to play with.

The invited person will receive a chat message and, by pressing the Play button contained in the message in question, will be able to join the game, both from a computer and from smartphones and tablets.
