How to play online on FIFA on consoles

FIFA is a game played a lot on consoles, so let’s start with PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. As a practical example, I will explain in detail how to play online on FIFA for PS4 , but in reality the procedures to follow are quite similar on all consoles.

The first step to take, therefore, is to verify that the console is connected to the Internet and that an account has been correctly configured to access the services offered by it, PlayStation Network , in the case of PS4 / PS5.

Finally, you must also subscribe to the service that allows you to access the online multiplayer component of the games: PlayStation Plus , in the case of PS4 / PS5 or Xbox Live Gold, in the case of Xbox consoles. Finally, I would like to clarify that you must also accept the conditions of use in FIFA, at the first start of the game, by following the instructions that appear on the screen.

So, to configure the console connection to the Internet on PS4, you can go to Settings> Network> Configure Internet connection (I recommend you choose the wired connection, via Ethernet cable, which ensures greater stability and therefore less lag), while for create a PlayStation Network account (if you don’t already have one) you can start from Settings> Account Management> Sign in to PlayStation Network and select the option New PlayStation Network user? Create an account .

Once the connection and account have been correctly configured, you can subscribe to PlayStation Plus by opening the PlayStation Store (the shopping bag icon on the main console screen), selecting the PlayStation Plus item on the left and pressing the Subscribe or renew your registration .

A 14-day free trial is generally available for those who have never signed up, while the 1-month subscription price is 8.99 euros, the 3-month price of 24.99 euros and the 12-month price of 59. 99 euros. Obviously, a valid payment method must be set up between credit card and PayPal .

Once you’ve configured everything correctly, just start FIFA and accept the terms of use that appear on the screen. After that, you just have to go to the ONLINE tab , usually found on the main page of the game, and start one of the available modes .

In this case, it is not necessary to subscribe to play online, as the PC world works like this: practically all games have online features that are accessible for free.

Another platform that does not require any type of subscription to play Electronic Arts football online is that for mobile devices , i.e. smartphones and tablets.

However, in this case it is not the “classic” chapter, since the version for mobile devices is a separate game, different from the one available on consoles and PCs.

In any case, this free title , known simply as FIFA Soccer and available through the Android Play Store or the iPhone and iPad App Store , can provide a good pastime through modes such as Division Rivals .

To play this game online, just start it, select the mode you want to play and start matchmaking . In short, playing online on FIFA is not very difficult, you just need to know the various platforms.

How to play online with friends on FIFA

As for playing online with your friends, you should know that in reality the procedure is not very complex, once the device and account are set up correctly.
