How to make the portal to heaven in Minecraft
You are a fan of Minecraft and you spend part of your free time wandering around the map of this hugely popular game. You have visited many places and you have also passed through the portal to the Nether, the infernal dimension of Minecraft, where you have been able to face new challenges. Given the existence of this “hell”, you are wondering if there is also a paradise in the world built by Mojang and, if so, how to access it.
How do you say? Are things really like this? Then you will be happy to know that you have come to the right place! In fact, you must know that, although there is no “paradise” on Minecraft, you can still access a dimension that recalls it very closely thanks to the help of mods, that is, add-ons that allow you to expand the contents of the base game. How? I’ll explain it to you shortly!
All you have to do is sit comfortably and pay close attention to the procedure on how to make the portal to heaven in Minecraft that you find in the following chapters. That said, all I have to do is wish you a good read and, above all, a good time!

Preliminary information
As anticipated in the introduction of this guide of mine, if you are wondering how to make the portal of paradise in Minecraft, to fulfill your wish you must necessarily install mods (consequently, you must act as a PC).
In fact, although the development team of Minecraft continues to expand the contents of the game, the “paradise” has not yet been integrated as a setting, at least until today. Either way, there’s no need to worry – you can install The Aether mod, designed by other Minecraft enthusiasts like you, and still access the content you’re looking for.
The Aether mod is the original project that implements a dimension opposed to the Nether on Minecraft. This was then followed by a revised version, called The Aether II , which expands the contents of the previous mod.
The original project of The Aether mod is compatible with the 1.7.10 version of Minecraft but, thanks to an update called Aether Legacy, it is possible to take advantage of this content even on more recent versions of Minecraft, such as 1.12.2 or later builds.
Even The Aether II is a project for the 1.7.10 version of Minecraft, but the updates (were published Highlands Update ) that make the mod compatible with 1.12.2 or higher versions of the game, albeit with some stability problem.
Also made this due clarification, if you want to know how to use these mods to reach heaven on Minecraft, all you have to do is read the following chapters carefully.
How to install heaven mod on Minecraft
As I anticipated in the introductory chapter of this guide of mine, to enable the dimension of heaven on Minecraft it is necessary to install the mods The Aether or The Aether II. These two mods are different from each other: while the first allows you to access a parallel dimension, the second expands all the functionality of the previous one, adding elements of RPG (ie role-playing game).
Furthermore, the modality of accessing the paradise of the two aforementioned mods is different and, therefore, I will have to dedicate separate chapters to them, to make sure that you cannot in any way have doubts about their functioning.
First, let’s see how to install these mods in Minecraft. First, you need to download Minecraft Forge – an essential add-on in order to be able to manage mods in Minecraft. To do this, go to the official Minecraft Forge website and download the installation file via the Installer button.
However, you do not have to download any version of Minecraft Forge, but the one exactly compatible with the latest version supported by the mods The Aether or The Aether II. You can select the Minecraft Forge version via the left sidebar. To check the latest version supported by the mod, instead, reach the respective pages on CurseForge : ( The Aether and The Aether II ) and locate the latest build published in the File section.
Also, you will need to change the version of Minecraft on your PC to match that of the mod. If you don’t know how to do it, you can consult my guide dedicated to the topic. After taking the Minecraft Forge installation file, double-click on it to open it, and press the OK button to confirm its installation.
Now, it’s time to download the mods from the CurseForge website: reach this link for The Aether or this other link for The Aether II and press on the File tab. Reach, therefore, the Recent files section, scrolling the screen, click on the latest version available and press the Download button, in order to take the .JAR file of the mod.
At this point, using File Explorer, go to the path C: \ Users \ [name] \ AppData \ Roaming \ .minecraft and move the .JAR file relating to the mod you previously downloaded to it. To avoid stability problems, it is important to choose one of the two mods, The Aether or The Aether II, to install: do not use them at the same time.
Well: we’re almost there! All you have to do now is start Minecraft, press the ▲ icon next to the Play button and choose the Forge profile. Once this is done, click the Play button, to launch Minecraft with mod support.
How to build the portal to heaven in Minecraft
Now that you have The Aether or The Aether II mod installed, it’s time to see how to craft the portal that will allow you access to the dimension of heaven. After creating a new world, all you have to do is follow the instructions you will find in the next paragraphs.
The Aether
If you have decided to use The Aether mod to visit heaven in Minecraft, to access this dimension, you will need to build a special portal. The latter can be easily crafted thanks to the use of items that are easy to find in the game world.
First, you need Luminite Dust – you can find this item in the Nether by destroying any Luminite blocks you find. Don’t know how to get to the Nether? Then I recommend reading this guide of mine dedicated to the subject. Alternatively, you can collect Luminite Dust by defeating witches or buying it for emeralds from NPCs you find in villages.
When you have 56 units of Luminite Dust, you can start making Luminite blocks. The latter require 4 units of Luminite Dust and you will need to create 14 so that you can build the gateway to heaven.
Now, place a line of 4 units of Luminite blocks on the ground. Once this is done, starting from the two ends, erect pillars each consisting of 3 units of Luminite blocks. Finally, build a line with 4 units of Luminite blocks, to complete the rectangle-shaped frame of the portal.
Now, using a bucket full of water, interact on the internal area of the portal to activate it. All you have to do, at this point, is cross it, in order to be teleported to heaven! Be careful not to fall: you will automatically be teleported to the original world of Minecraft and your avatar will land on the ground thanks to the parachute.
The Aether II
If you want to play, instead, the mod The Aether II, the procedure you must follow is very different from the one illustrated above.
First, you need to get some Stone blocks, which you can easily find by digging the ground, and some Iron Ingots. You can make the latter in a furnace by inserting blocks of Raw Iron, which are also easily recovered by digging underground.
When you have collected 4 units of Stone blocks and 4 units of Iron Ingots, all you need to do is place them on a workbench to get the Aether Portal item. Next, all you have to do is equip this item, place it on the ground, and interact on it, so that you can be teleported to a midway zone of paradise.
Alternatively, you can perform the same procedure that I indicated in the previous chapter relating to the mod The Aether to build a portal, using instead of the Luminite blocks, those of Quartz (a material obtainable in the Nether).
The area where you will find yourself is represented by a tall castle suspended in the void: reach the top, talk to the NPC and access the portal behind him to finally reach heaven.
