Building a table in Minecraft
If you want to build a table in Minecraft, you must know that unfortunately there is no project available to make this object. You can, however, use the combination of some elements to create a table and use it to furnish your home.
There are different table designs you can create, suitable for various purposes. A few examples? Let’s start with a bar table: if you want to make such a table, first collect some wood and turn it into wooden planks, using a workbench.
Now you need to create a fence and a pressure plate. For the first item, you need 4 units of Aces and 2 units of Sticks, while for the board you only need 2 units of Aces. At this point, place the fence on the ground and place the pressure plate on it, in order to obtain the bar table.
If, on the other hand, you want to create a larger table, just use the same resources, replacing the pressure plate with rugs. You can obtain this object by processing 2 units of Wool, obtainable by shearing the sheep: I have told you about it in detail in this guide of mine, in which I have explained to you how to get this resource and also how to change its color.
What you need to do now is to place the fences on the ground and place the carpets on them, in order to create a table. It wasn’t difficult, was it?
As I have already mentioned, if you have enough creativity, you can build any type of table. If you have any difficulties in the realization of this project or if you want more ideas to draw on, I suggest you go to YouTube, where you will find lots of ideas and suggestions from other Minecraft fans like you.
What you need to do is open the browser you usually use to browse the Internet and reach the YouTube website or, alternatively, open the YouTube app for Android or iOS ) and search for the terms “minecraft table” or “table minecraft “ (in English), to view a list of videos that will explain how to make various types of tables for your shelter.
Mod to build tables on Minecraft
In addition to the solutions I gave you in the previous chapter, some enthusiasts have made mods for Minecraft Java Edition that allow you to add tables within the game in an even easier way.
In particular, the mod I recommend you use is MrCrayfish’s Furniture Mod, available on CurseForge.com. Before moving on to its download, however, it is necessary that you have installed Minecraft Forge, a tool that allows you to manage these add-ons for the Mojang title.
If you haven’t already done this, go to the Minecraft Forge website and press the Installer button to download the program’s .jar file. At the end of the download, double-click on the file you just downloaded and press the OK button, in the box that appears, to install it.
Now, download MrCrayfish’s Furniture Mod by visiting this link and pressing the Download button. After downloading the mod .jar file, move it to the mods folder found in the Minecraft installation directory ( C: \ Users \ [name] \ AppData \ Roaming \ .minecraft ). If you can’t find this folder, create it manually.
Well: we’re almost there! Start Minecraft and press the ▲ icon, which you find next to the Play button. Then choose the Forge profile and click the Play button. If you’ve followed the directions I gave you to the letter, you’ll have started Minecraft with mod support.
All you have to do now is access the world of Minecraft in Creative mode and browse the inventory pages, to reach the section relating to the mod just added: there you will find various accessories and objects to furnish your shelter, including tables. .
Building a work table in Minecraft
Most of the items you create in Minecraft need to be processed inside a Workbench. As you can well understand, it is an essential element to progress within this video game. If you’re wondering how to create one, I’ll explain how to proceed in the next few lines.
The first thing you need to do is collect some wood and turn it into wooden planks, using the Manufacturing section that you find inside your avatar’s inventory. After doing this, place 4 units of Wooden Planks on all four free slots in the Fabrication section to get the Workbench.
To use the Workbench, place it on the ground and interact on it: you can thus create many types of objects. I suggest you use the Cookbook (the icon with the green book ), to discover the projects that you can currently build and to automatically place the resources (if present in the inventory) of the object you want to create in the slots.
Building a spell table in Minecraft
Do you need to enchant an item with a bonus? In this case, you will need a Spell Table. If you don’t know how to build one, I’ll explain it to you.
What you need to do is gather the essential resources to craft this item in the workbench: you need a Book, 2 units of Diamond and 4 units of Obsidian. As for the book, you can create one using 3 units of Paper (which I talked about in this guide of mine ) and 1 unit of Leather. The latter is a very common material, which is obtained by defeating animals such as cows or horses or in the trunks you find during your adventures.
The diamond, however, must be extracted from the corresponding mines in the subsoil, and then subsequently the art of processing raw form inside a furnace. Finally, obsidian can be easily obtained by pouring water on the lava and using a diamond pickaxe to extract this material.

On Minecraft, you can also build other types of work tables, based on the purpose of use. As I have already explained to you in the previous chapters, there are the Workbench and the Spell Table which have, respectively, the purpose of creating new objects and adding bonuses.
In addition to these, however, it is also possible to create other types of tables. For example, there is the Cartography Bench, which allows you to create useful maps for your explorations. To make one, you only need 4 units of wooden planks and 2 units of paper, to be placed inside a workbench. If you want to know more about this object and how to make maps on Minecraft, I suggest you read my guide dedicated to the subject.
Finally, you can make the Fletching Bench and the Forging Bench. You can’t use these items directly, but you can create them to add to a village so that a non-player character (NPC) is assigned to the specific task.
In fact, thanks to a fletching bench, you have the possibility that a citizen can become an Arrows Blacksmith, with whom you can trade to buy arrows and shooting weapons. With a forging bench, you can get a citizen to get the profession of Tool Blacksmith, which will allow you to purchase tools.
You can create a Fletching Bench using 4 units of wooden planks and 2 units of Flint, which is easily found by destroying the gravel blocks. For the Forging Bench, however, you must use 4 units of wooden planks and 2 units of Iron Ingots, which are obtained by processing raw iron in a furnace.
