How to install a game on Xbox 360 from a flash drive: step by step instructions
So how do you record a game to an Xbox 360 USB stick? Let’s make sure we already have a pre-built Xbox, and prepare everything we need:
- Large flash drive or external drive.
- LAN cable.
- ISO2GOD and WX360 programs on PC.
Having prepared and downloaded the images of the games that we want from the Internet, we proceed to uploading:
- We connect the future game storage to the PC.
- We make the USB stick compatible and format it to FAT32.
- Make the GAMES directory on a formatted flash drive. It is with this name and precisely the caps.
- In order not to get confused in the future, we will create separate directories for games – for sorting by genre or by name. It will be easier to navigate if there are a lot of games.
- Launching the WX360.
- Open the game image via File -> Open and select everything except $ SystemUpdate.
- Right-click, click Extract Files and upload the files to the directory on the USB flash drive corresponding to the game.
- If the WX360 does not see the image, it does not fit under Freeboot. For this we need ISO2GOD. Launch and open the image in it using the Add ISO button .
- Select the directory where to save the finished image and click Save ISO .
- Select an image from the list and click Convert.
- We repeat steps 5-7.
- Having scattered the necessary images among the directories on the flash drive, we connect it to the console.
- Turn on Game Discovery mode and wait.
- Games found. You can play!
