How to get the cape on Minecraft Premium no mod

As mentioned above, the cape is a very special item for Minecraft players and therefore getting it without using mods is quite complex.

Often the cloak is in fact given as a gift with the purchase of a ticket for the Minecon, an event dedicated to Minecraft fans that takes place every year in different parts of the world. For more information in this regard, I recommend that you consult the official website of Mojang (in English).

Additionally, the cloak is provided as a reward to users who over the years have helped develop Minecraft and translate it into several languages.

In short, as you may have already guessed, these methods are quite expensive in terms of time and money, but there is a shortcut: the one you find in the next chapter of this guide and which concerns the use of mods.

How to get the cape in Minecraft for free

One of the most appreciated possibilities by the community is to use mods in Minecraft. In fact, these “changes” to the game allow you to significantly improve the gaming experience. Among the various creations of the players, obviously could not miss a mod called Advanced Capes, designed precisely to get the cloaks on Minecraft.

To install this mod on Minecraft Java Edition, I recommend first of all to install the Forge profile: to do this, just go to the official Forge website and press the Installer item. In some cases, you may need to click the orange  Show all Version button to find the version of Minecraft you are playing with.

When the download is complete, open the forge- [version] – installer.jar file obtained, select the Install Client item and click OK. Perfect, now the system will install the Forge profile on Minecraft. This procedure is valid for both Windows and macOS since you are going through a .jar file.

Now, go to the official website of Advanced Capes, select the version of Minecraft you are playing with and press the Download / Download this file button . At this point, move the advancedcapes- [version] .jar file to the path C: \ Users \ [username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ .minecraft \ mods (Windows) or ~ / Library / Application Support / minecraft / mods (macOS ).

As for Windows, remember that AppData is a hidden folder and therefore you need to enable the viewing of hidden folders. To do this in Windows 10, type “file explorer options” in the search bar at the bottom left and select the first result. At this point, move to the View tab, select the item View hidden folders, files and drives and press OK. If, on the other hand, you use Windows 7 , you need to access the Folder Options and enable the item Show hidden files and folders.

At this point, open Minecraft Launcher and click on the up arrow icon present in the green button at the bottom. Then select the Forge profile and press the PLAY button.

Great: now you just have to start a new game (perhaps by clicking first on Single Player and then on Create a new world ) and press the F5 key on your keyboard. In this way, the view will “widen” and you will be able to see that your character is already wearing the default cloak introduced by the mod. If not, press the Esc button, select the Options item first and then Skin customization and check that the Cloak option is set to Yes. You should now have obtained the cloak on Minecraft Java Edition.

There are several methods to customize the cloak, but my advice is to take advantage of the text commands implemented by the mod. Then press the T key on the keyboard and type the command / setcape url [cloak link] .png (eg / setcape url https://www.aranzulla.it/wp-content/contenuti/2019/06/Mantello- Minecraft-Aranzulla.png , to get Salvatore Aranzulla’s cloak).

If, on the other hand, you want to use the cloaks made by the Advanced Capes community, just use the command / setcape website [username cloak creator user] (eg / setcape website IskanderGal ). Once this is done, hit Enter and the cloak will appear in the game.

As you may have already guessed, cloak skins can be obtained from numerous sources. My advice is to rely on those present directly on the official website of Advanced Capes or to perform some research online.

Remember, however, that the cloak skin files must be in .png format and have been uploaded to a site that has a URL accessible to everyone. In addition to this, you must clearly have a working internet connection and authorize Minecraft to use it when the appropriate pop-up appears, in case you are using Windows.

In some cases, .png files found on the web may not work, as not all cloak skins are compatible with the Advanced Capes mod. For this reason, below I list some of the best skins I have had the opportunity to test, followed by the command to activate them.

Over the years, users have found a way to have the mantle on Minecraft Pocket Edition as well, by editing different game files.

In particular, the players go to place modified files inside the main folder of Minecraft Pocket Edition. My advice, however, is to drop these methods. In fact, they are not well regarded by the community, since you go to get your hands on “delicate” folders, where you can compromise the game in its entirety.

The only method to get a cape on Minecraft for PS4, Xbox One or Switch is to wait for the developers to decide to make this aesthetic element available to users.

This has actually already happened, but only on some special occasions, for example during the Minecon, an event dedicated to fans of the Mojang title.

Therefore, I cannot be more precise with my indications, as the promotional periods in which it is possible to obtain a cape in the console version of Minecraft are decided by the developers, often without too much notice: I can only advise you to be alert!
