How to follow all Facebook friends on Instagram

The only social network you have used so far is the hugely popular Facebook. Lately, however, driven by curiosity, you have decided to also try Instagram: you have created your account, you have customized it with many photos and videos and you are also trying your hand at the very popular Stories. However, only now have you noticed that the app’s home page – the one where all the posts of the users you follow should appear – is definitely empty, because you are not following any users yet.

Not having the desire to waste too much time and search, one by one, your friends registered on Instagram, you started looking for a guide that could explain you how to follow all your Facebook friends on Instagram and you ended up on this tutorial of mine. Did I guess? Great, then know that you are in the right place. In the next chapters of this guide, in fact, I will provide you with clear and detailed information that will allow you to reach your goal.

Preliminary operations

Before getting to the heart of the tutorial, I have to make an important premise: at the time of writing, even if you can find your Facebook friends from Instagram through a dedicated function, it seems that Instagram only shows Facebook friends who are present. also in your phone book.

In light of what has just been said, I invite you to take a look (if you need it), at my tutorial on how to add a contact to the phone book, in order to allow the app to “see” them.

Net of this, to find your Facebook friends on Instagram, you will need to link your accounts from both social networks. To do this, you will need to go to the Account Control Center of the Instagram application, which is available on Android (both on the Play Store and on the alternative stores ) and iPhone and iPad.

Thanks to the connection of the accounts you can then automatically share Instagram posts and stories on Facebook, log in on Instagram with your Facebook account credentials, use Facebook Pay also on Instagram and more ( more information here ).

To proceed with the connection of the accounts, open the Instagram app on your smartphone (or tablet), tap on your profile photo at the bottom right and then press the ≡ icon located at the top. At this point, scroll down the page and press on the Account Management Center item; from here, tap on Configure the Account Management Center.

You will then be redirected to the Facebook login page and simply enter your login credentials in the appropriate fields you see on the screen. Once this is done, press the Login and Continue buttons as [username] (if you have difficulty logging in, check out my tutorial on how to recover a Facebook account ).

To conclude the procedure, press the Continue and Yes buttons, complete the configuration and choose whether to synchronize the Facebook profile photo with the Instagram one or not. Congratulations, that’s it!

How do you say? Would you rather act as a PC? No problem: connect to this Instagram page and, if requested, log in to your account. Then click on the item Add account and proceed with the login on Facebook. Finally, click on the buttons Continue as [username] , Continue and Yes, complete the configuration.

If you prefer to use the Instagram application for Windows 10 and later, start it, log in (if necessary) and click on your profile photo located at the top right; from here, click on the Settings item and then on the Account Management Center item (bottom left) and continue as explained above.

How to follow all Facebook friends on Instagram: smartphones and tablets

You are now ready to find follow all Facebook friends on Instagram. To act as a smartphone (or tablet), start the Instagram app, tap on your profile photo (bottom right), then go to the menu ≡> Suggested people.

How do you say? Is this last item missing from the menu you opened? Then do this: press the ≡ icon again from your profile page and go to Settings> Account> Synchronization of contacts: from here, press the switch next to the Connect contacts item to deactivate it and confirm the operation pressing on the item Disable.

Now, go back to the above menu and click on Follow and invite friends: from here, click on Follow contacts and (if required) click on Allow access button, to confirm.

At this point (both if you have opened the Suggested people item and if you have, instead, opened the Follow contacts item ) you should be shown a menu in which the Connect button appears at the top next to the Connect to Facebook item. Press, therefore, on this button and you will be immediately offered your Facebook contacts who have an account on Instagram: to follow them, you simply have to press the Follow button next to each name. It wasn’t difficult, do you agree?

I also inform you that once you have connected your Facebook contacts, if your account has been created recently and you do not yet follow any person, you can find the various profiles of your friends also by pressing the home icon at the bottom. on the left, on the main page of the application or on your profile page. In the latter case, swipe the previews you see to the right and press the Show all button, or tap the down arrow icon located next to the Edit profile item.

How to follow all Facebook friends on Instagram: computer

Are you wondering how to follow all Facebook friends on Instagram from computer? As for the site of the social network in question and its computer application, unfortunately the suggestions of friends on Facebook will be shown to you only if you have recently created your account and do not yet follow any users (or follow very few).

In this case, first make sure that you have connected your Facebook account to Instagram (as I indicated in this chapter ) and that you have activated the synchronization of contacts in the mobile app: to do this, press on your profile photo and go to ≡> Settings> Accounts> Contact Synchronization; From here, move on ON the trigger of ‘ switch by pressing on it.

To see the suggestions on the users to follow, just press the house icon at the top right. Alternatively, you can click on your profile photo (top right), then on the Profile item and, finally, on the item Followed Profiles (also click on the item See all suggestions located below, to see more users).

Once you have found the friends you are interested in, proceed by clicking on the Follow mail item corresponding to their name. That’s all!

How to invite Facebook friends on Instagram

You can invite your Facebook friends to create an account on Instagram directly from the app of the latter social network.

To proceed in this sense, you must necessarily act from a smartphone or tablet: once you open the Instagram app, then tap on your profile photo located at the bottom right and then press the ≡ icon located at the top.

Select, then, the voice settings and go to Follow and invite friends> Invite friends over … and you tap on the logo of Facebook. You will then be redirected directly to the post creation screen in the Facebook app.

By clicking on the Share item in the News section at the top, you can also choose whether to send the invitation by posting it on the diary of one of your contacts or in a group by pressing on the appropriate items that are shown to you (if you want the post to be published only on your diary, leave the Share option selected in the News section ).

You can also add a caption by typing text in the field of the item Write something … , tag people or add a mood, by pressing the appropriate buttons located at the bottom. Once you’re ready to post your invitation, tap the Publish button at the top right.

By visiting the link you posted, your friends will be automatically redirected to the download page of the Instagram app and can thus proceed to create their account.

How to unfollow friends on Instagram

Have you thought about it and want to stop following one or more Facebook friends on Instagram? No problem, you can retrace your steps at any time.

For procedures from smartphone or tablet, open the Instagram app and first press on your profile photo, at the bottom right. From here, go to the Followed section (above) and make sure the Followed Accounts tab is selected (and if not, you can do it yourself).

At this point, scroll through the list of contacts, locate the one you want to unfollow and press the Follow button already that you find in correspondence with his name, so as not to follow him anymore.

From a computer, on the other hand, after connecting to the Instagram site or starting the Windows application, click on your profile photo located at the top right and select the Profile item from the menu that opens.

Then, click on the item Followed people at the top, scroll through the list of contacts, locate the one you want to unfollow and click on the Follow button that you find next to his name. Easier than that?
