On the Net, it is possible to find free and good quality emulators for all the most common desktop platforms: in the following chapters of this guide, in particular, I will explain how to download Brawl Stars on PC through BlueStacks , one of the best in the category, as it is complete , free and compatible with a wide range of apps and games.

In detail, I will explain how to download, install and configure BlueStacks 5 , the most recent edition of the emulator, to play Brawl Stars on Windows PC: it introduces several improvements over the previous version of the emulator and, among other things, it is much less “demanding” in terms of system resources, thus making it lighter and also suitable for PCs that are not very recent.

For the sake of completeness of information, I believe it is right to specify that, at the time of writing this guide, BlueStacks 5 is still in beta (albeit fully functional), but will soon be “promoted” to a stable version, supplanting the previous ones. Since BlueStacks 5 Beta is not yet available for Mac, for macOS I will refer to the latest stable version of the program instead.

In order for everything to go smoothly, you will also need a Google account to be configured in the emulator’s Play Store: if you don’t have one, you can quickly create one using the information I have given you in this guide .

Note : in order to run applications at their best, Android emulators require a fair amount of system resources and, for this reason, they may not emulate correctly (or not emulate at all) some “heavy” games, especially if the computer on which are installed is not exactly recent.

How to download Brawl Stars on PC: Windows

Once all the clarifications have been made, it’s time to take action and show you how to install BlueStacks on a Windows computer and how to install Brawl Stars on the emulator.

Therefore, connected to the BlueStacks home page and click on the Play on BlueStacks [Beta] button located in the center of the page, in order to download the program installation package. When the download is complete, run the file obtained (eg BlueStacksInstaller_5. XXabcd.exe ) and click on the Yes and Install now buttons to start the setup.

At the end of the installation procedure, which will last a few minutes and will be completed automatically, the emulator should open; if this does not happen, you can start it using the icon that, in the meantime, has been added to the Start menu .

In any case, once you reach the initial screen of the program, double-click the Play Store icon visible in the Home tab (the symbol of the house that resides at the top), press the Login button and, when prompted, enter the associated email address to the profile to be configured in the emulator.

Then, click on the Next button , enter the account password and press Next again ; now, accept the conditions of use of Google services by clicking on the appropriate button, choose whether or not to activate the data backup on Google Drive and press the More and Accept buttons , in order to complete the Play Store configuration. If necessary, refuse the installation of the Immuni app (useless on an emulator) by clicking on the item Not now , visible at the bottom left.

If everything went well, you should now find yourself in front of the Play Store, which you can use exactly as if you were operating from a tablet: click, therefore, on the search bar located at the top, type the words “brawl stars” at inside it and enter . Finally, locate the box relating to the Supercell game and click on the Install button to download it to the emulator (and, consequently, to your computer).

Once the installation is complete, you can start the game by clicking on the Open button , which appears on the Play Store screen, or by first clicking on the symbol of the house resident at the top and, subsequently, on the Brawl Stars icon which in the meantime has been added to the Home panel. .

To move around the game, click and drag the round controller visible on the screen in the direction you prefer; to aim and shoot, use the skull and crosshair icons instead ; alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcuts that are indicated on the screen: the keys W, A, S and D are used to move, respectively, up, left, down and right, while the Space , Shift , E and F are dedicated to attacking skills.

To hide or opacify the game controls, call up the Game Controls screen by clicking on the keyboard symbol located in the right sidebar of BlueStacks; by clicking on the item Open the advanced editor , you can also customize the keyboard shortcuts. At the time of writing this guide, this feature is not yet available in BlueStacks 5.

If you notice sudden slowdowns of the computer or if Brawl Stars proceeds “jerky”, you can try to cope with the thing by activating the Eco mode of BlueStacks, which is an operating mode that uses less hardware resources: to do this, click on the symbol depicting an indicator speed placed on the right sidebar of the program and shifts to oN the lever corresponding to the wording eco mode .

Following this operation, the emulator will reduce the framerate on secondary instances and the volume will be turned down completely. If you deem it appropriate, you can manually intervene on these parameters using the switches and boxes on the screen.

As I already mentioned in the opening bars of this guide, the BlueStacks emulator is also available for Mac and, for convenience, I will explain how to install and use it to install Brawl Stars on macOS. In this case, however, I will refer to version 4.x of the program, as the beta of BlueStacks 5 for Mac is not available.

All clear? OK, let’s get started. First, open the official website of the program and click on the Download BlueStacks for macOS [version] button , in order to start the download of the relative .dmg package on the Mac. Once you have the file, open it, double click on the BlueStacks icon visible in the new window that appears and press the Open and Install now buttons to start the setup.

If the program still does not open due to the restrictions imposed by macOS on programs not downloaded from the App Store, open the System Preferences , click on the Security and Privacy icon , then on the Run BlueStacks button , present inside and finally, start the installation of the program following the same instructions I gave you a little while ago.

In any case, when prompted, enter the Mac password , click on the Install assistant button and wait for the first phase of the installation to be completed. Shortly before the end of the procedure, you will need to enable the system extensions, which are essential for the emulator to work correctly: therefore, when necessary, click on the buttons Open the preferences Security / Open Security & Privacy , press on the locked padlock residing in the lower corner left of the screen that opens and, if necessary, type your Mac password in the appropriate box.

Once this is done, press the Allow button next to the wording The system software has been blocked from loading by the developer “Oracle America, Inc.” and then on Not Now , to avoid an immediate restart of the computer.

The installation is almost complete: now, reach the Privacy tab , click on the Accessibility item (located in the left sidebar), put the check mark next to BlueStacks and wait for the software to try to start the engine for the first time game, and fails (don’t worry, this is completely normal). When this happens click on the OK button and then restart the Mac .

At the next start, open the emulator using the icon residing in the Launchpad or in the Mac Applications folder and wait for the game engine to be successfully initialized: if everything went smoothly, you should now find yourself in front of the BlueStacks home screen .

Now, to start configuring Google services, click on the Start button , enter your Gmail profile username and password in the appropriate fields (by pressing the Next button each time), specify whether or not to back up your data to the cloud and click on the Accept button , to conclude.

Finally here we are! Now, click on the My apps tab of BlueStacks, then on the Google Play Store icon and refuse the installation of the Immuni app , by clicking on the Not now button ; at this point, use the search bar located at the top to search for “Brawl Stars” , click on the Install button corresponding to the box relating to the game (it is the one developed by SuperCell ) and wait for the installation of the title to be completed.

To start Brawl Stars, then press the Open button located on the Play Store screen, or click on the game icon that in the meantime has been added to the My Apps tab ; on first launch, you should see a window that allows you to define keyboard / mouse shortcuts, to be used during the game. Make the necessary changes, click the OK button and start having fun right away!

If you have come this far, you will certainly have understood the procedures I talked about in the previous chapters of this guide, but you still need to know how to download Brawl Stars on PC without BlueStacks because, for some reason, you cannot use this latter software ?

If not even this solution should do for you, things get slightly complicated: in this case, the only way to go is to replicate on the computer the screen of the Android, iOS or iPadOS device from which you usually play Brawl Stars, in order to control via mouse and keyboard.

Although the duplication of the screen is a relatively simple operation to put into practice, this does not always apply to the control of the same: apps like TeamViewer QuickSupport allow you to fully control Android devices directly from your computer (for those iOS and iPadOS it is only possible mirroring the screen), but could cause a slight delay between sending the command from the PC and actually receiving it on the smartphone or tablet, which is certainly not ideal during a gaming session.
