How to book a visit online

Having made the necessary premises above, let’s see in detail which are the main Web services and the main apps that you can use to book an online visit.

My Doctor

The first service I suggest you use to book an online visit is MioDottore.it , a website that can also be used via an app for Android (downloadable from the Play Store or alternative stores ) and iOS / iPadOS (downloadable from the App Store ), which allows you to search and book a medical visit, choosing from more than 200,000 doctors from all over Italy.

Specifically, this service allows you to book a visit to the office, online, or to search for a general practitioner, through a search engine with a simple and immediate user interface.

To start, then connect to the MioDottore website or open the official app of the service and type, in the search engine that is shown to you, the type of visit you want to book and the city of your interest, then press the Search button.

Now, in the search results, find the doctor of your interest, filtering the event the names through the filters located at the top (for example looking for a specific performance ) and choose carefully a professional reading the reviews left by other patients.

Once this is done, click on the date and time you wish to book and click on the Proceed button, in order to enter all your data ( name, surname, telephone number ) and receive the booking confirmation, at the same time free registration to the service, which will allow you to save bookings and professionals that you think are more valid.

Once the reservation has been made, it will be visible in your personal area, in the My account> My visits section, accessible from both computers and smartphones and tablets. Also worth mentioning is the Ask the doctor function, which allows you to ask questions and receive answers from doctors registered on the platform, and the possibility of contacting the chosen professionals via message (by pressing the appropriate button on the profile page of the latter).

iDoctors

Another service you can use to book an online visit is idoctors, whose search engine for booking a specialist visit can also be used easily through the appropriate app for Android (downloadable from the Play Store or from alternative stores ) and iOS. / iPadOS (downloadable from the App Store ).

To start, then connect to the official website of iDoctors or open the official app of the service and, in the search engine that is proposed to you, enter the type of specialist visit and the city in which you want to make the reservation. Then press the Search button to view the results.

Now, identify the doctor of your interest among the search results that are shown to you, filtering the results obtained by reviews, price or other parameters of your interest.

Once this is done, click on the Book button to see the profile of the selected doctor and read in detail his presentation sheet with the qualifications obtained and the curriculum.

Then, select the day and time of the reservation and fill in the reservation form, indicating your personal data, your email address and your mobile number, in order to register with doctors and confirm the reservation.

The reservation you made, once confirmed by the doctor, will be visible in your personal area.

Hospital sites

Among the most important resources that you can use to book medical examinations online are the sites of the hospitals, given that some of the most important public and private hospitals in Italy offer a dedicated online booking service, accessible from the Web and via app for smartphones and tablets.

I refer, for example, to websites such as that of the San Donato Group (which includes some hospitals in Lombardy, such as the San Raffaele Hospital and the San Donato Polyclinic ) which, through the Reservations section, allows you to book a visit through the national health service ( Request NHS Visit ) or privately ( Book Private Visit ). Reservations can also be made via apps for Android and iOS / iPadOS.
