In fact, the instructions to follow are very simple: just open the game and, when the mode selection screen appears (after a few seconds), click on the Save the world box, instead of the classic “Battle Royale”.

In any case, I want to clarify that, unlike what happens with other aesthetic elements, it is not possible to buy the Save the world mode through the V-Buck, or the virtual currency of the game. In fact, you need to buy this content for real money.

Fortnite arrived on Nintendo Switch “late” compared to other consoles. In fact, if PlayStation 4 and Xbox One already had the Epic Games title in 2017, the Japanese company’s console “received” the game only in 2018.

Surprisingly, once the title arrived on this platform, users discovered that it is not possible to purchase the Save the World mode in this version of the game. Over the years, the most disparate theories have emerged online as to why Fortnite is “limited” from this point of view on Nintendo Switch.

The reality is that no official information has ever arrived on the subject and, therefore, unless unexpected upheavals, it is good to “put your soul in peace” or buy the mode and play it from other platforms.

How to have Save the World on PC

If you usually play Fortnite from a computer, the procedure for “unlocking” Save the World mode is nothing complicated.

In fact, everything works in a similar way to what I illustrated in the chapter dedicated to consoles: just select the appropriate box in the Save the world mode in the “startup phase” of the game and follow the instructions that appear on the screen, possibly adding a method of valid payment and confirming the transaction.

In any case, there is also a possible “alternative approach” that passes through the browser or the Microsoft Store of Windows 10, if you prefer. In fact, for EUR 15.99 you can purchase the Robo-Ray package, which includes Save the world mode, the ‘ Robo-Ray hero, the Robo-Ray costumes, the decoration back injector Blub, the pickaxe Raystruttore and challenges Robo-Ray, i.e. assignments within Save the World that can guarantee up to 1,000 V-Bucks and 1,000 X-ray tickets.

To purchase this package on Windows 10, just open the Microsoft Store, search for “fortnite robo-ray”, set the selection filter to Available in All devices and click on the bundle box. After that, all you have to do is click on the Buy button and complete the transaction.

Alternatively, you can start from the official Epic Games website by pressing the BUY NOW button, selecting Europe as the Country / Territory and PC / Mac as the platform and clicking the BUY NOW button.

You will therefore be prompted to log in with your Epic Games account, possibly setting a valid payment method and completing the transaction. You will then find all the elements related to the bundle the next time you start the game.

How to have Save the World on smartphones and tablets

How do you say? Would you like to “unlock” Save the World mode on smartphones and tablets? I’ll explain the situation immediately!

Well, unfortunately, as indicated below in the official Epic Games portal, this mode is not available for mobile devices. The developers have never clarified in detail the reasons that led to this choice, but it is assumed that it is technical or market issues.

In short, unless there are sudden changes of direction, those who usually play on the move cannot access this PvE co-op campaign. However, I remind you that from this platform you can always enjoy the Battle Royale mode.

Furthermore, if you really intend to play Save the World, you could consider using another platform (I remind you, for example, that on PC Fortnite you can also play through NVIDIA GeForce Now, thus taking advantage of the connection to Internet and not hardware performance).
