How to fix “Fix PNP Detected Fatal Error Windows 10” error

This problem indicates a serious problem with the PNP Manager. The main reason for the appearance of “Fix PNP Detected Fatal Error Windows 10” lies in the damaged “Plug & Play” driver. Because of this, the PC stops independently detecting new equipment connected to the computer. This problem is common not only on Windows 10, but also on 7, 8, Vista, as well as most older operating systems. Also, the causes of the problem can be viruses and malware, damage to the OS registry, conflicts between utilities, non-working system files, hard disk problems, or faulty RAM. The appearance of an error is indicated by the following “symptoms”:

  • Blue screen with a corresponding message.
  • Periodic system freezes for several seconds.
  • The PC suddenly stops working when launching certain software.
  • Slow operation of the OS.

How to fix the problem

  1. Uninstalling drivers and problematic software. Boot in safe mode. Press Win + R, enter devmgmt.msc. If you have recently updated any utilities, find the one you need among them. In the context menu of the object, select “Properties”. We are looking for the “Driver” tab, click “Roll Back Driver”. Again “Win + R” and enter “appwiz.cpl”. If you recently installed new software, uninstall it and boot your computer normally.
  2. Start OS recovery . Press Win + R, then sysdm.cpl. Go to the “System restore” tab, click “System restore”. Click “Next”, after which we find the necessary restore point. Follow the prompts to complete the action, then restart the PC. Make sure the error does not recur.
  3. Driver check. This method works when you can boot the system in normal mode (not in safe-mode). Be sure to save your restore point.
  4. Auto-recovery. Insert the bootable disc with your OS version into the DVD drive. Select your language and click “Repair your computer” at the bottom left. In the next window, find “Troubleshoot”, then “Advanced options”. We find “Automatic recovery”, we wait until it completes, then turn off and turn on the computer.
  5. Disable antivirus temporarily. Any antivirus software can be temporarily disabled. Set the minimum time: for example, 15 minutes. Repeat all the steps for which the error occurred earlier and check for its presence now. If not, we recommend that you change the antivirus settings or buy another one altogether.
  6. Check for OS updates. Press Windows + I, select Update & Security. Click “Check for Updates”. After installing them, restart your PC.
  7. Cleaning up the hard drive. Press the keys “Windоws + X”, open the “Command line (Administrator)”. We enter the command “cleanmgr”. We are looking for the system disk, one by one we repeat this operation with other partitions. When the Disk Cleanup Wizard window opens, put a tick in front of “Temporary files”, click “OK”. Restart your PC and make sure that there is no “Fіx PNP Detected Fatal Error” error.
