It is a free application that includes several tools for creating, converting and editing PDFs. It allows you to transform images into PDF and vice versa, add watermarks to documents, split and merge PDF pages, scan documents into PDF format and much more.
To download PDFill FREE PDF Tools on your PC, connect to its official website of the program and click on the Download now button twice consecutively: the first time under the heading Get this tool only and the second on the page that opens. When the download is complete, open the program installation package ( PDFill.exe ) and click first on the Yes button and then on Next.
Then accept the conditions of use of PDFill FREE PDF Tools, by placing the checkmark next to I accept the terms in the License Agreement, and click in sequence on Next for two consecutive times, then click on Install and Finish to at the end of the setup. If you are asked to install Ghost Script and .Net Framework, accept. Don’t worry, they are not promotional software – they are two free components that are required for the program to function properly.
At the end of the installation process, you just have to start PDFill, click on the Convert images to PDF button and select the JPEG files to be transformed into PDF by dragging them into the window that opens; therefore arrange the images in the order you want to be kept in the PDF (with the Move up button you can move them up and with the Move down button you can move them below) and customize the parameters of the final document using the text fields located at the bottom.
In the Margin from image to new PDF page edge box you can set the page margins, in the Space between images box you can adjust the spacing between images and so on. When you have everything set up, click on the Save as a button and select the folder in which to save your PDF.
i2pdf (Windows)
Did PDFill FREE PDF Tools not convince you? Then try i2pdf. It is a small no-cost utility that allows you to create PDF files starting from images in various formats (JPEG included). It is compatible with all versions of Windows and does not require installations to function.
To use the software immediately, connected to its official i2pdf website, scroll the page to the bottom and click on the Download i2pdf 32-bit link if you are using a 32-bit operating system or on the Download i2pdf 64-bit item if you are using an operating system 64-bit. When the download is complete, open the ZIP package that contains the program, extract the contents to a folder of your choice and start the i2pdf.exe executable.
Then, drag the JPEG files you want to convert to PDF in the program window, click on the Build PDF button and adjust the settings related to the output document using the menus and tabs in the window that opens. Finally, name the output file, choose the folder to save it in and confirm saving the PDF to get your final document.
Preview (Mac)
If you are using a Mac, you can turn JPEG to PDF without downloading additional programs from the Internet. To succeed “in the enterprise” you just need to exploit the potential of Preview, the default software with which macOS / OS X opens images and PDF documents, and the virtual printer included “standard” in the Apple operating system.
To better understand what I’m talking about, open the first JPEG file you want to include in the PDF using Preview, call the Thumbnails function from the View menu at the top and drag the other images you want to insert in your document into the bar that has appeared on the left.
At this point, sort the thumbnails of the JPEG files with the mouse, then select them all by pressing the combination of keys cmd + a on the Mac keyboard and invoke the Print command from the File menu which is always at the top. Then click on the PDF menu located at the bottom left of the window that opens, select the item Save as PDF … from the latter and choose the folder in which to save the final PDF. Easier than that?
Automator (Mac)
As an alternative to the above solution, if you have a Mac you can convert JPEG to PDF also with Automator, the automation tool included on macOS / OS X. Using Automator you can in fact create a system service and convert your images into PDF documents by selecting them with the right mouse button and choosing an item from the context menu.
All you have to do is open Automator (you can find it in the Other folder of the Launchpad ), select the Service option, click on the Choose button and set the service as follows.
- The service processes the selection of– image files;
- In– any application;
- Actions– New PDF from images (the folder to export the output file and the other preferences you can freely change).
Then use the combination of keys cmd + s to save the service giving it the name you prefer (eg Transform images into PDF ) and take action.
At this point, to convert images to PDF on your Mac all you have to do is select, right-click on one of them, move the cursor to Services and then [name of the service] from the Chet i menu is shown. The output PDF will be saved in the folder you chose in Automator.
